World of Warcraft players return to Azeroth in the new Dragonflight expansion.

The next expansion takes players to the Dragon Isles, the ancestral home of the mighty dragons of Azeroth.

After a time of cataclysm in the world of Azeroth, forgotten forces are mobilizing on the mythical Dragon Islands, the ancestral home of the Dragonkin. Blizzard Entertainment today announced World of Warcraft®: Dragonflight, the tenth expansion for the globally acclaimed massively multiplayer online role-playing game, ushering in a new era of fantasy adventure.

Dragons have played an important role in the history of Azeroth, leading the mortal races and influencing major events…sometimes for their own purposes. As their ancient homeland awakens, the dragons call upon the heroes of the Alliance and Horde to face new threats and mysteries to unfold. After millennia of slumber, the mighty Dractyr-Evoker, World of Warcraft’s first race and class combination, joins the adventure.

Depending on their chosen class specialization, Dractyr evokers can attack enemies from afar with their breath, fangs, and claws, or aid their companions with their mystical dragon powers. Players can design their characters’ draconic avatars, which they use to fight their enemies, as well as their human form, which they use to communicate with the inhabitants of Azeroth. Dractyr Evokers start the game at level 58 with a unique questline and can choose to join the Alliance or the Horde.

In addition to their cunning and strength, the dragons of Azeroth are known for their agility in the air. All players can become Dragon Riders and unlock a dynamic new way of flying, accompanied by a fully customizable dragon companion they can train to take to the skies as the expansion progresses. Dragonflight also brings the biggest update to World of Warcraft’s talent system and professions since launch, giving players new depth in defining their characters.

Discover the Dragon Isles: On their journey to the new level 70, players will explore the primal wonders and ancient mysteries of the Dragon Isles through four new zones: the Awakening Shores bursting with elemental energy, the vast plains of Ohn’ Ahran, the icy peaks of the blue lands and the majestic temples of Thaldraszus.

New Race and Class Combination: Players can threaten their enemies (or empower their allies) as the Draghyr Evoker, WoW’s first race and class combination. They can create their human and draconic forms, choose between the Alliance and the Horde, and venture as a healer or range with the combined power of all Dragonkin.

Take to the Sky: In Dragonflight, players can use the Dragon Rider ability, a new type of aerial travel that allows them to take to the skies on the back of their very own Drake of the Dragon Isles. As you expand, you can customize your dragons, get a new look, and fly farther and faster.

An overhauled talent system: The new talent system allows you to choose from a variety of talents without compromising your class’ effectiveness, and more importantly, it offers meaningful options for each skill level.

Improved Professions: Artisans, you are in luck! In Dragonflight, players looking to be recognized for their crafting skills will find a variety of new features and tools, including quests, new professional gear, and an all-new specialization system.
