A new poll shows that Blizzard may be interested in a major refresh update for Warcraft 3 Reforged.
According to a report from Warcraft Tavern, Blizzard conducted a poll asking what features players would like to see in Reforged. The question asks how attractive each of the traits, ranked from very attractive to very attractive, is. Featured features include global custom games, an art update, a UI/UX refresh, storage size reduction, and environmental image rework. The survey also asks players whether a “soft rollout” with many of these features would motivate them to play or buy.
The survey also asks more questions about the new approach to the classic real-time strategy game. For example, whether they bought the game, how much they played, and what prevented them from playing.
Warcraft 3 Reforged was released in 2020 much to the dissatisfaction of players. Players have mentioned missing features and various bugs. The game has reportedly fallen victim to mismanagement and budget cuts. Blizzard initially released fixes and patches, stating that they will continue to support the game. Blizzard has added ranked play, leaderboards, player profiles and the latest special offers after a long period of no updates.
It is not yet clear whether there will be a phased relaunch for Warcraft 3 Reforged. However, Blizzard seems to at least be considering it.
