WoW: Wrath Of The Lich King Classic is getting a new dungeon challenge on January 17

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic players will soon be able to take on a new dungeon challenge created specifically for Blizzard’s re-release of the game’s most popular expansion.

As noted in a new Blizzard blog, the Rune Titan dungeon difficulty is coming to Wrath Classic starting January 17, along with a new Arena season, gear changes, and the daily Battle Tournament quest center Silver. . Later in the week, on January 19, one of the most iconic raids in the game, Ulduar, will begin.

While many players will have a good idea of what to expect when it comes to Ulduar, the new Titan Rune dungeon challenge is brand new to Wrath Classic. Titanic Relics are added to the entrance of every level 80 heroic dungeon and make all enemies gain health, deal more damage and have additional effects depending on the dungeon. This new challenge rewards raid-quality gear from level 1 (raid content for 10 players), giving those who don’t have the time or opportunity to raid a way to keep improving their character.

This is a big change for Wrath Classic and marks the first time Blizzard has added a major new system to one of its re-releases of old WoW content. However, it’s in line with Blizzard’s recent development philosophy to make more quality of life improvements and other tweaks to the old-fashioned version of WoW, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the social aspects of the game. As such, Blizzard’s refusal to add the automatic dungeon group finder to Wrath Classic is a fact that sometimes divides the gaming community.

Wrath of the Lich King players can currently take advantage of the 50% XP boost event valid until January 16th. In other WoW news, Blizzard recently released a content roadmap for the game’s latest expansion, Dragonflight, detailing all major patches and updates for players. In GameSpot’s ongoing Dragonflight review, “We were surprised to see Blizzard’s flagship game get a handful of new ideas, as well as major changes to some old ideas.”
