One of the most famous pop musicians of the 2000s joins Pokémon Go in a certain position. This man is British singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran.
Ed Sheeran HQ’s Twitter account revealed that some sort of crossover between the singer and the mobile game Pokémon Go is coming soon. Later, the game’s official account was updated with an eye emoji confirming the partnership.

No further details on this have been disclosed, so it’s unclear how Ed Sheeran will appear in Pokémon Go. The easiest guess would be that he wrote and performed some music for the game. Who knows? Anyway, Eddie is coming, he’s also worked on other projects like Game of Thrones and Rise of Skywalker, but these were acting roles as opposed to Pokémon Go.
The last update to Pokemon Go was in September when Niantic announced new personal data for the Safari Live Event. It was originally supposed to happen in 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Pokémon Go has also been in the news as Niantic plans to reduce the range of pandemic interaction between PokeStops and Gyms. However, after protests from fans, Niantic decided to take a step back and keep the interaction radius at 80 meters instead of 40.
