The Last of Us showrunner: Plot adaptation of the second part of the game lasts more than one season

Craig Mazin, showrunner of the Last of Us series, believes HBO Max will need at least two seasons to film the second part of the game.

The creator of the edit spoke about this on the day of the premiere of the first season, but the information only now surfaced in the media due to the announcement of the sequel.

Craig Mazin commented that The Last of Us Part II has much more diverse content, and that the game itself is just “more difficult” due to the events that take place.

It is worth noting that the original game takes an average of 15 hours to complete. In turn, the average player should spend about 24 hours on Part II.

The Last of Us series premiered on December 15, 2022. After the release of two episodes, the film adaptation was renewed for a second season, which will be based on the second part of the game.

Earlier, the creators of The Last of Us talked about changing Bill and Frank’s story in the adaptation.
