On November 22, Hanwha Life Esports announced the return of their former bot laner/world champion Park “Viper” Do-hyeon.
Viper is a legendary botlaner that first gained recognition in the legendary Griffin roster. After the team disbanded, he joined Hanwha Life Esports midway through the 2020 season. He then found great success in the LPL and joined the EDG roster in 2021 where he led the team to their first World Cup win in 2021 and quickly emerged as one of the best bot laners in the LPL. That year, he led EDG to the Quarterfinals at Worlds, but was defeated by DRX 3-2 in that match.
Hanwha Life Esports commented:
“We are pleased to announce that ‘Viper’ has returned to HLE. Welcome to the world championship award winning bot laner ‘Viper’ which has outstanding aggressiveness. Looking forward to HLE’s new storyline unfolding next season with HLE ‘Viper’.”
