Golar LNG: success of FLNG Gimi
Golar LNG Limited, a company specializing in the transportation of liquefied natural gas, recently announced that FLNG Gimi will leave the Seatrium shipyard in Singapore on November 19, 2023. This ship is currently sailing towards Gran Tortue under its own propulsion. BP’s Ahmeim (GTA) is located off the coast of Mauritania and Senegal.
The journey, expected to take around 60 days, also includes refueling stops in Mauritius before passing the Cape of Good Hope, and in Namibia before arriving. Once FLNG Gimi arrives at the site, it will notify BP of the suitability of the berthing and connection to the hub, marking the start of contractual cash flow under the 20-year GTA lease and operating agreement.
