Rockstar says it is preparing a title update for Grand Theft Auto Online in response to an exploit that effectively crashed some players of the popular multiplayer game.
Remote code exploitation was first spotted last week [RCE] enables scammers to effectively bribe accounts remotely. Players affected by the exploit will be permanently stuck on the Grand Theft Auto loading screen.

RCEs have been a constant concern in several multiplayer games, most notably Dark Souls, whose PvP servers have been down for months due to the issue. While a firewall rule might help, fans are encouraged to take a breather now, as exposure to RCE can be quite dangerous and allows hackers to do significant damage to a gamer’s computer from a distance.
In a tweet this afternoon, Rockstar said it is aware of the exploit and is preparing a security-related game update. He encouraged players to contact the studio’s support page if they still had issues.
While Rockstar hasn’t announced when the promised title update will be released, fans will likely expect it soon due to the severity of the vulnerability.
