Former professional Dota 2 player Khaled sQreen El-Habbash spoke about the participating teams in DreamLeague Season 19 on his personal Telegram channel.
The analyst noted that the lack of open qualifiers was a major mistake by the tournament organizers.
The first season without open qualifiers, like any tournament without them, is a huge loss. Let me remind you that if The International hadn’t had the same qualifiers, OG Esports couldn’t have won this championship. It seems to me that every tournament operator should respect all teams equally and give them a chance to qualify for their tournament, be it commercial or not – this could fundamentally change the fate of some teams and players as well as adding entertainment and hype to the tournament.

DreamLeague Season 19 will be held online from April 9-23. The top 16 teams from around the world will compete for a $1 million prize pool, as well as slots at the Riyadh Masters, which will give away $15 million.
