The captain and midfielder of B8 Esports Dota 2 roster Danil Dendi Ishutin spoke about winning against Wildcard Gaming in the first division of DPC 2023: Season 2 for North America.
Dendi said the team could have suffered a forfeit defeat as the lights went out in Mexico City, where the B8 boot camp is located, due to torrential rain:
I’m glad we won. We almost got tehluz in the series, because in Mexico City, where we are now, there was a downpour and half the city was without electricity. We were looking for a computer club, but there was no light there either, there was a lot of hassle. But then the light was given, but we had no internet and we tried to fix it. We entered the first map with a fine for the duration of the trek. For me it was a lot of stress and the first card didn’t work for us. I think we had a good draft there, but we played badly, mainly because of me. But the second map went great, then we got confident and in the third game we had another great draft.
