G2 to Play FaZe and Astralis Take on MOUZ in the First Matches of the IEM Dallas 2023 Playoffs

The start time of the first games within the playoff stage of the IEM Dallas 2023 CS:GO tournament has been announced. In total there will be two meetings in the bo3 format on June 2 and 3 (maximum two wins).

The opening game of the IEM Dallas 2023 Playoffs will be the showdown between Astralis and MOUZ. The fight is scheduled for June 2 at 9:30 PM Moscow time. The winner advances to the semi-finals of the tournament, while the loser exits the competition. In group B, the Danish team managed to beat Team Liquid and Cloud9 in the top bracket, then lost to ENCE in the final with a score of 1:2 and advanced to the quarter-finals of the playoffs. MOUZ in turn defeated fnatic, but lost to Heroic in the group A winners, after which they fell to the bottom bracket and cracked down on FURIA Esports and OG. This allowed the team to reach the playoffs.

Then, at 01:00 AM on June 3rd, G2 Esports will meet with FaZe Clan. The winner also awaits the semifinals and the loser will be eliminated from IEM Dallas 2023, taking 5-6th place and earning $10,000 in prize money. Ilya m0NESY Osipov’s squad started confidently in Group A, defeating Nouns and OG, but in the final he lost to Heroic with a score of 0:2 and only advanced to the quarter-finals of the play-offs. FaZe, on the other hand, played more games, as after beating Evil Geniuses, they lost to ENCE and fell into Group B loser where they dealt with Team Liquid and Cloud9, knocking both teams out of the tournament.

IEM Dallas 2023 Playoff Schedule June 2 & 3

In addition to Astralis, MOUZ, FaZe and G2, Heroic and ENCE made it to the final part of the tournament. These teams start the play-offs from the semi-finals. Recall that Cloud9, OG, FURIA Esports, Team Liquid and other teams left the tournament after the group stage.

IEM Dallas 2023 will take place from May 29 to June 4 at LAN in Dallas, USA. 16 teams compete for $250,000 in prize money and a ticket to IEM Cologne 2023, which only the winner gets.

The next big tournament on the CS:GO pro scene is BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2023. The event will take place in Washington DC from June 7-11. Eight teams compete for $425,000 in prize money. The winner will advance to LAST Premier: World Final 2023.
