Fabien Neo, the founder of the eSports organization Team Vitality, David, spoke in an interview about the negotiations for the extension of Mathieu ZywOo Erbo’s contract.
The head noted that without the player the team could not survive:
ZywOo is the reason why Team Vitality came to Counter-Strike. This project was made for Erbo. ZywOo is Team Vitality. Team Vitality is ZywOo. We have a great bond of trust. I find it impossible to project without ZywOo. We are discussing a contract extension.
On May 21, Mathieu ZywOo Herbeaud received the Most Valuable Player award at the Paris Major. Vitality in turn became the champion of BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, defeating GamerLegion in the finals with a score of 2:0. For first place, the ZywOo roster received $500,000 in prize money, as well as tickets to IEM Cologne 2023 and BLAST Premier: World Final 2023. The second finalist received $170,000.
BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 was held May 8-21 in Paris, France. 24 teams competed for a $1.25 million prize pool, as well as tickets to IEM Cologne 2023 and BLAST Premier: World Final 2023.
