Valve has officially confirmed that nothing will happen to the player’s inventory when moving from CS:GO to Counter-Strike 2. The developers will transfer the skins to the new version of the shooter.
In addition, Valve said that skins will become even more beautiful thanks to new lighting technologies:
All your CS:GO items will not only stay with you in Counter-Strike 2, but will also be enhanced by the way Source 2 works with lighting and materials. The game not only supports the old coloring pages, but also uses high quality new models for some.

The release of CS 2 is scheduled for the summer of 2023. Some players may participate in testing the shooter.
