Natus Vincere CS:GO sniper Alexander s1mple Kostylev spoke about the announcement of Counter-Strike 2 on Source 2’s engine, sharing his emotions live during the ESL Pro League Season 17 broadcast.
The esportsman turned to Valve with a request not to release a new version of the shooter while tournaments are taking place in the CS:GO pro scene:
Other wiring, video only? Damn it? What is going on? [Игра выйдет летом 2023 года] Awesome. We have to finish the tournaments first. Valve, if you can hear me, let’s finish the tournaments. Then we will all have an equal amount of time to prepare during the break before the start of BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2023.

The announcement of CS 2 took place on March 22. Valve will release the shooter in Summer 2023. Testing of the title will begin for some players in the near future.
Previously, NaVi beat Outsiders (Virtus.pro) from Season 17 of the ESL Pro League.
