As part of the IEM Rio Major 2022 film, professional commentator Alex Machine Richardson spoke about the attitude of Outsiders (Virtus.pro) to the preparation.
Caster emphasized that the players barely left the training room:
I think the Outsiders just came to the Major and locked themselves in the rehearsal room. I didn’t see the players at breakfast, at the pool, at the bar. They were just missing. Now everyone is arguing about it. that the team cannot represent Virtus.pro because organizations from Russia are not allowed to participate in eSports competitions. So it’s just six players in black shirts that show up in tournaments and deal damage.
Heroic captain Kasper cadiaN Møller also spoke about the Outsiders. The eSportsman noted that the team rarely talks to the media:
If we talk about Outsiders, then this team is somehow difficult to describe. The players keep a very closed group and don’t show much emotion, don’t say much to the media. They have Jame, who is literally known as a meme because he stores weapons every round instead of helping the Outsiders. He only acts for himself.

IEM Rio Major 2022 was held from October 31 to November 13 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In the final, the Outsiders defeated Heroic 2-0. Major MVP is Jami Jame Ali.
