The Call of Duty series is notorious for the huge amounts of memory their games take up. Modern Warfare even earned the title of best PC game of 2020. Fortunately, the current successor MW2 including Warzone 2 does not take up that much storage space. We clarify exactly how large which content is here and now.
By the way, despite the negative Steam reviews, the current number of Warzone players is impressively high and will soon overtake its predecessor:

Of course, if you forgo the main game altogether and just want to play the free battle royale, you’ll need significantly less hard drive space:
computer: about 21GB
Play station: about 40GB
Xbox: about 43 GB
How much storage space does MW2 need?
If you own the main game you can still download the campaign, multiplayer and co-op modes. With all content together you get the following gigabytes:
computer: about 72GB
Play station: about 64GB
Xbox: about 71GB
Pro Tip for PC Users: If you play MW2 through Battle.net, you can easily choose which content you prefer to be uninstalled and which you don’t. For example, if you only play the multiplayer, cut the campaign from the disc and save almost 35 GB! All you have to do is go to Modern Warfare 2 in Battle.net and bottom left manage content
select your desired game modes.
Of course there will be some updates and patches in the future, after all, the release of MW2 and Warzone 2 did not go smoothly. From a developer’s point of view, this probably wasn’t a mistake:
